Three Powerful Headlines For Your Arsenal

Try these three great proven headlines this week and prepare for great results.

  1. Announcements capture attention and create instant curiosity. An announcement is especially effective when you are unveiling a new product or service. Here are a couple great announcement headlines I captured off Google’s top 20 just this week:
    • Announcing: your on-line projects resource page!
    • ExpeditionTrips.com - Just Released Offers, Discount Cruise
  2. Make a big promise and guarantee the results. This immediately answers the question, “So What?” Why should I read this ad? The answer: You will get a significant, guaranteed result that will make a positive difference in your life. Two current top examples:
    • Learn The 3 Simple Strategies That Are Guaranteed To Help You Eliminate Those Excess Pounds
    • Web Link Alliance - Guaranteed Top Search Engine Rankings.
  3. Command some action. One of the biggest reasons ads fail to get results is that we don’t tell the reader what action to take. A group of test clients were recently given money to spend on the Internet. They were told to read ads and use the money to buy products. Many actually left Internet sites without buying anything, because the ad did not tell them specifically what action to take and how to take that action. Beginning your ad with a command immediately solves this problem by telling the reader, up front, the specific action you want the reader to take. Here are two examples of the command format:
    • DOUBLE YOUR DATING SUCCESS WITH OUR TIPS!
    • The Heritage Foundation: Support Us: Double Your Gift

For another great example, check out the headline to this week’s Lightning Tip.

To your success and significance,

Try email marketing. It's fast, easy and inexpensive so you can communicate with your market audience on a regular basis and stay "top of mind" to them. I use iContact. It has all the features you need:

  • Contact management, ability to create and format emails, blogs and RSS feeds, autoresponders for series, a sign-up form for your Web site, excellent training in how to use the tool and more.

Please take a look at this powerful tool. It is central to a successful email marketing program. Don't try to patch your email marketing together with Outlook or some other less powerful program. It simply won't work.
