Create Your First Book: Part 8

Writers: What's in Your "Staging Area"? (continued)

The above have a large learning curve, but a spirit of discovery, experimentation and play will help you here. The technology was created so that a person who is not a guenius can use it successfully, or the companies would long ago have gone out of business. And as you get into it you'll see that you can do it. You could always hire it out, but you will find that as you overcome the learning curve, a lot of creative imagination will be released from deep within yourself. Even if you do hire these things out, having a basic understanding of how they work could mean the difference between success and failure.

  • Sales:
    • Create a compelling sales letter and ads
    • Add a graphic element to these (Photoshop)
  • Basic Web design skills:
    • Understanding of shopping carts and drop-shipping
  • Networking, networking, networking both on and off the Internet

What's in your Staging Area as you prepare for the adventure of creating valuable information product for your market? The first step to the adventure is gathering the items you will need. That step alone will help you move ahead on the adventure of transforming your dream product into a reality.

Coming soon...now in its final stage! (The wait has been long, but I will not release this ground-breaking model for communication and coaching before it is ready.)

To your success and significance,

Try email marketing. It's fast, easy and inexpensive so you can communicate with your market audience on a regular basis and stay "top of mind" to them. I use iContact. It has all the features you need:

  • Contact management, ability to create and format emails, blogs and RSS feeds, autoresponders for series, a sign-up form for your Web site, excellent training in how to use the tool and more.

Please take a look at this powerful tool. It is central to a successful email marketing program. Don't try to patch your email marketing together with Outlook or some other less powerful program. It simply won't work.
