Create Your First Book: Part 1

You can take the first step knowing that the path leads to the prize. (continued)

As you gaze upon your book cover, describe your book.

  • What will it do for your readers?
  • How will it give them the help they need to accomplish an important goal?
  • Make promises. There's nothing wrong with that, as long as you intend to keep your promises to your readers--and you can, and will deliver on your promises.

Write your promises into a brief sales letter for your book and put that letter right below your new book cover.

  • Post it on your Web site.
  • Hang it in front of your desk.
  • Circulate it among your clients.

Nothing puts a creative fire under you better than publically declaring your intent. Now, copy your archives onto a word processor document. That is your running start. You will grow this into your PDF-ready, full blown e-book. Into it, you will pour your knowledge, skill, experience, and your life energy.

Stay tuned! In coming weeks I will reveal the creative skills I utilize--that are also within you--as I work through the process. You will emerge with your first book. It will build your confidence, generate passive income, build credibility, and be an un-ending source of pride and accomplishment. Take the first step right now, knowing that the path leads to the prize!

To your success and significance,

Try email marketing. It's fast, easy and inexpensive so you can communicate with your market audience on a regular basis and stay "top of mind" to them. I use iContact. It has all the features you need:

  • Contact management, ability to create and format emails, blogs and RSS feeds, autoresponders for series, a sign-up form for your Web site, excellent training in how to use the tool and more.

Please take a look at this powerful tool. It is central to a successful email marketing program. Don't try to patch your email marketing together with Outlook or some other less powerful program. It simply won't work.
