A Winning E-zineThe Test of a Great E-zine: Is your e-zine turning into an e-book?A great e-zine is really an e-book waiting to happen. Every issue gives your subscribers information of value that they can use to accomplish a task, overcome a barrier, make their business or life better. Over time as you systematically respond to a wide range of the needs of your target market, and archive your e-zine articles in categories on your Web site, you will begin to see chapters of a book emerging. If you don't see a book emerging, here is one of the main reasons: Your articles may be "pushing products" rather than "delivering value". Bad Bad! A series of "product pushes" will never make a book--and it is not the mark of a great e-zine. People will stop opening your e-zine if it is just a product push week after week. For that matter, they will eventually turn off ANY communication from you--spoken or written--if you're not first and foremost delivering value every time. So, in the midst of this great "value give-away", how do you sell? Isn't profit important? Yes! And you sell by tying a product or service to your message of value. I have top quality economical tools, carefully researched, that I offer to help my market accomplish each necessary task on their path to success in my target focus--their Internet Marketing. That's my store--my toolshop. But I don't lead off with the "tool"--I lead off with the "task". You too have top quality tools and services you know will benefit your target market. When you're talking to your market, don't lead with the "tool", lead off with the "task" and then, naturally move to the "tool". Once you have described a task and its benefits, your market's next question will naturally be, "How do I accomplish this task?" For example, the task I describe in this article is how to design a great e-zine. A natural follow-up question might be, "How do I set this e-zine up and deliver it and manage my subscriber list and begin to develop an archive on my Web site that will eventually turn into my first e-book?" At this point I offer one of my key tools: An e-zine service that makes setting up and managing a growing e-zine very simple so that you can spend your valuable energy communicating instead of getting bogged down in the mechanics. This service is reliable, easy, ethical, they have excellent training. You will see your e-book emerging before your eyes as you use this tool to deliver your e-zine to a growing subscriber list.
